Situated right next to Priory Steps on the upper reaches of Bradford-on-Avon’s historic town centre, Carey and Diana have created three very individual self-catering properties, historic dwellings now fitted with the very latest comforts. While the B&B is furnished with antiques, their self-catering options are fully specified with the latest fittings, albeit in period, restored buildings. All can share use of Priory Steps’ own car park – the Coach House actually overlooks it – and are close enough to pick up Priory Steps’ fast wifi. They are comfortable, secure bases from which to explore this fascinating market town.

The Coach House is reached by a flight of stairs that reach up from Priory Steps’ own private car park. It has stunning views over Bradford and the Avon Valley, both from the large picture window in the living area and the private terrace by your own front door. Inside it’s beautifully furnished, with a large sitting area, galley kitchen and eating area, a bedroom that is large enough for a double bed as well as a single bed, and a large and luxuriously fitted bathroom.

The building across the road from Priory Steps, once an inn, Old Inn Apartments, has recently been thoroughly redeveloped by a Bath firm of Architects, and two of the units have been retained by Priory Steps to offer self-contained accommodation to guests. Each is reached by their own private front doors and provide spacious accommodation and very contemporary design. Both units have large sitting areas with open-plan kitchens, double bedrooms with king-sized beds and crisp white linens, and en-suite bathrooms where marble prevails.
